Parking in the parking area that we’ve pinned on the map, and then cross back over Route 9N.  Hop over the guard rail, where there is a trail that is sporadically marked. You’ll go over a steep ridge and then a descent, where you’ll find a 20 ft. or so cascade, with large deep pool. […]
This is an exceptional state park, when you enter it almost feels like you’re going to the Caribbean. There is turquoise water by the shore, and a clear delineation of cobalt blue water as the lake becomes deeper.  There are concessions, bathrooms and  showers, and a large beach with multiple lifeguard stations and swimming areas. […]
Coming from downtown Lake George, this little beach is just before Million Dollar beach. Same sand same great views as Million Dollar Beach, but you can bring your (well behaved) dog here. Â This beach is right beside the main road, so don’t plan on bringing dogs who aren’t trained to stay beside you. Â There is […]
This is a really lovely campground, with a medium sized swimming area and a larger sand beach. Â They have a unique wood pavilion with arbors and picnic tables. Â The beach is on Lake George and has turquoise water. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24470.html http://newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/hearthstone-point/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NY&parkId=505

 No dogs allowed. http://www.lakegeorge.com/business/hague-town-beach-park-10271/ http://www.townofhague.org/townofhague/calendar/park.htm
Park at the signed HAGUE BROOK PUBLIC ACCESS lot that is close to a little bridge. You can walk upstream or carefully walk along the left hand side of the road. The fall will be on the left just a two minute walk. There are trails running along the stream, but the one that goes […]
This is a nice state campground with a lot of camping sites. Â They have a sandy beach on Lake George, with a nice view of the mountains. Â They seem to have kayak rentals, and there is a boat launch. http://newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/rogers-rock-campground/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NY&parkId=515 http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/24493.html
This is a town beach on Lake George, off of Tiroga Beach Road. Â The park has a small sand beach and clear water. Â Small grass area for picnics, beautiful views. Â It was raining during our visit, but it is likely to have turquoise water on a sunny day, if it is like other areas of […]
From Main street, take Dock Street and then a  right on Beach Road.  This park was sort of dingy but had a nice walkway to the lake.  This could be a nice beach if cleaned up a little, though we did see something on their website about a clean up effort following damage from Hurricane […]
From Route 22, you’ll see a large sign on right side of road for Bulwagga Park, and you take Bulwagga Drive to the end where the park is. Â You’ll go past a weird abandoned building, past a fenced municipal building, and stop at the fee building in front of all the RVs. Â They didn’t charge […]
