Roscoe Rest Area

This is a highway rest area with access to the Willowmec Creek.  This has been listed elsewhere as a place to swim, but we found it sort of unappealing.  To get here, take 17 East from Roscoe and get off at the rest area signed as a “Text Stop” around mile marker 313, and before exit 96.  Park in the parking lot and walk across the lawn to the wooded area. There are paths to the right and left, both lead to the stream. This is the Willomec Creek Trout Fishing area, and is state owned.
