Krull County Park

This is a really strange little beach.  The park is enclosed by the ruins of an old hotel, and the swimming beach is a small roped area in between two concrete piers.  There was sort of a boardwalk with shops next door, but it was all shuttered during our visit.

When we were there the water was really muddy and murky, even though it is on Lake Ontario.  There is a very narrow sand beach, and a hillside picnic area.  It is sort of a cool park in that it seems like it shouldn’t really be a beach, and it almost feels like you’re trespassing.  Parking seems to be roadside along the park, and the beach is on the far west side where there is a break in the stone wall, and the beach is down a set of stairs.  You aren’t allowed to walk on the piers, so we couldn’t get a good shot of the ruins.
