Havana Glen, Eagle Cliff Falls

This is a town park that has camping and RV parking, and a waterfall hike.  It doesn’t look like much when you drive in, but it gets nicer as you go through. There are signs for the park, and it is near the town clerks office and the highway department.

The signs prohibit swimming but the path opens up to a waterfall where people wade in the water.  It seems like a fun for little kids, and is a good alternative to Watkins Glen as it is a short, easy hike.  There are some stairs, but it isn’t strenuous for most, and we saw elderly people and toddlers making it up just fine.

This is a gorgeous waterfall, and unique in that they don’t restrict access with fences.  There is a small plunge pool at the bottom, but it is shallow, and most people just sort of “shower” under the fall.  The walk up is very pretty with a path that follows the gorge, and you can see multiple small waterfalls on the way. This is the perfect place to go if you have kids that are too small to make it through Watkins Glen, or if you just feel like an easy hike with a lovely destination.
