Lyons Falls, Lower

LYONS FALLS LOWER

This area has two locations, and both are public boat launches that people swim from.  They are close together, with one launch on the upper falls above the dam, and one below the dam.  Both areas are signed, and there is camping at the lower one.

LOWER BOAT LAUNCH- There is a large, powerful fall along a partially ruined dam or plant of some kind.  We were told by multiple people that people do swim here, though none were present during our visit.  The falls flow into a large pool, which then flows into a river.  There were multiple families camping, though we don’t know who you would contact for reservations, and there was no official check-in booth.  If you choose to swim here, stay far away from the dam and waterfall, as they could be dangerous.
