Alexandria Bay Town Beach
This is a tiny town park, but very picturesque. It is within walking distance of downtown Alexandria, which is a popular tourist destination with lots of restaurants and shops to explore. The beach has turquoise water and is adjacent to a small park with a bridge to a tiny island. This is more of a wading area for children than actually swimming, but it has gorgeous views and would be a lovely place to have a picnic.
The park is alongside the hospital, and easy to miss, so keep an eye out. Parking is tricky, and you might have to park somewhere in town and walk.
