Georgiaville Pond

This park is a little confusing, because they have lovely landscaping and facilities, but it seems a little abandoned.  There are conflicting signs saying that the park is closed when lifeguards aren’t present, but also that if no lifeguard is present then it is “swim at your own risk.”  We were here on a weekend, and people were swimming, so I have a feeling that the town doesn’t staff the beach anymore but lets people use it. There were bathrooms, but they were locked.  Dogs are not allowed in the park.

This is pretty little beach with a small crescent of sand, and clear water.  The swimming area wasn’t roped off, but there was a handwritten sign along the edge of the shore reading “Danger Deep Water.”  So you will want to stay in line with the buoys, and be cautious if the area isn’t staffed.
