Riverside Park

UPDATE- 5/5/18 we have been told that the park is now for residents only, and that the water area is private property.  Please respect these rules, and currently this park is not a good place to visit.  If this changes in the future, please let us know.

Previous: In Wentworth, NH, travel on Mt. Moosilaukee Highwy to where it crosses the Baker River.  There is a small dirt road near the bridge which leads to a parking lot and some overgrown tennis courts.  We believe that this location is a town park that just hasn’t been maintained.  The area is sort of funky and a little derelict, but in a interesting way.  The falls are gorgeous, with emerald water flowing over large curved boulders.  The water at the base of the falls is quite shallow, and this seems to be a popular place for families.  There is a strange DIY concrete bridge, which seems to lead to a house; it is sort of just an odd little park.  We believe the area is dog friendly, but we can’t say for sure.  There is also a Port-a-Potty available.
