Noblewood Park

The beach was closed this year because they couldn’t find a lifeguard, but the ranger agreed to show me around.  The set up is kind of funny, because when the beach is open you park in a small lot, and then the ranger drives you down in a homemade cart with four bus seats in it, tied to an ATV. It was actually a really fun ride.

I was only allowed to stand in a small area and quickly photograph both beaches, so the pictures don’t really convey just how pretty this area is.  They are planning on opening a new beach next year, which will be in the sand area that the above photos show from afar.  You might want to call ahead before visiting, to make sure the beach is open though.  The old beach is where you can see the day camp kids swimming.

This is a mixture of a town park and Nature Conservancy land, and there are no dogs allowed anywhere in the park, which is standard for Nature Conservancy land.
