We have been told that there is a lot of litter being left at this location. Please carry out all of your refuse, and help pick up anything left by others. This is a favorite spot for residents, so please be mindful, and don’t overcrowd the area. We hope that our site will help people feel more connected to the outdoors, and inspire them to work to protect them. Please be respectful of nature, and the local community.
This location is close to the Split Rock Coxing Kill swimming hole. On Clove road go down about 3.5 miles from Coxing Park. Take Clove Valley Extension road on the left. Follow it 0.2 miles until it ends in a T. Take a left on Highway 6 and stay on it for 0.8 miles. Take a left on Towpath road and follow that for 0.8 miles as well. The swimming hole is roadside on your left and you’ll see a small sloping fall and a large pool. We were told this site gets very crowded on weekends. The deepest part is probably 6 to 8 ft.
We were told that this is state owned land by a park ranger, but we don’t know the legality or safety of swimming here.
