Lincoln Woods State Park, Olney Pond

This is a large park with multiple activities to explore, including kayak rentals, playing fields, and fishing.  There is a jogging/walking trail going around the whole lake, which is a great feature.

The main beach has a large swimming area and sand shore, and the water is very warm.  People do swim at other points around the lake, though we aren’t sure if this is allowed. If you keep driving around the lake from the main beach, then you’ll come to a dam that people fish off of.  There are some large rocks here that people were swimming from as well.

Overall this a very nice and well maintained park, and a great place to spend the day.  The park is free but you have to book picnic areas.  When we were there they were under major construction for a new beach pavilion, but the park was still crowded, so these may book up fast.  Dogs are allowed in certain areas.
