Pleasant Point Beach, McGrath Pond

This is a lovely park, with individual picnic sites by the water.  They have a very, very, small roped swimming area, with stone steps going into the water. The water at the roped area is a light jade, and it looks like they’ve put sand here.  The shore at the picnic spots is more rocky.  I’m not sure if you’re allowed to swim off the picnic areas, but if you are then this place is great. If not, then it would be a good place for kids. They have a simple, but cute, playground, and a large grass lawn.

Park in the paved lot, where you’ll see sports fields at the entrance to the park.  Then follow the path beside the notice booths, which will bring you past a marshy area with a small dock.  Keep walking through a large field to where the picnic and swim areas are.

Port-a-Potties are available.  Dogs are not allowed.
