Southwick Beach State Park, Lakeview WMA

This is a HUGE beach, you can’t even see the two ends from the swimming area.  There are actually two connected beaches, one is for the Southwick Beach State Park, and the other is the Lakeview Wildlife Management Area (WMA).  People swim in both, though we think it is technically only allowed in the state park.

The beaches have clear turquoise water, and soft white sand.  There are expansive views, and this is really just a beautiful area.  Dogs are allowed in certain areas of the Lakeview WMA, but this is a protected area so please keep them on a leash, and off the dunes.  These beaches are popular, but they are so enormous that you don’t feel crowded.  There is a playground, concessions, all facilities, and a large picnic area.  There is camping right along the beach, though the sites are pretty crowded together.  This whole area is gorgeous, and it feels like you’re on the ocean.
