Umbagog State Park

This is a beautiful lake, with state campgrounds scattered around it, some only accessible by boat.  The main campground is small and slightly crowded, but watching the lake makes up for it.  They have a roped swimming area, which is a little small, but I asked the ranger and she said you’re allowed to swim outside the ropes at your own risk.  They have boat and kayak rentals, as well as showers and restrooms.  Dogs are allowed in the campground, but not on the beach. Gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains.
