Northwest Bay Brook

Parking in the parking area that we’ve pinned on the map, and then cross back over Route 9N.  Hop over the guard rail, where there is a trail that is sporadically marked. You’ll go over a steep ridge and then a descent, where you’ll find a 20 ft. or so cascade, with large deep pool.  Continue to follow the water, and you’ll come across a medium pool maybe 4 or 5 deep.  The river then takes a hard bend, and at the end of the bend there is another large pool with cascade leading into it another deep pool. The rocks are very slippery along this route, as is the trail since it is covered in pine needles.  We aren’t sure if people swim here, but there are lots of fisherman.  The area is gorgeous though, and worth the trip.
