Chasm Falls Picnic Area

This is just a small beach that we found by accident, but would be a nice place to picnic.  You can park on a short dirt road off of route 27- if you’re headed towards Malone it will be on the left hand side and there is a brown and white sign reading “Chasm Falls Picnic Area.”

The picnic area is on a small section of river possibly 4 ft. deep or less. We don’t know where the chasm that this area gets its name from is, so we can’t vouch for the safety of exploring downstream.  The current seemed a little fast and it is unknown if people swim here, but there is fishing access.
