Yatesville Falls, Buttermilk Falls

There is a sign for Yatesville Falls but it is small- the better landmark is a larger sign that says “Three Ponds” and is across the street from the road going to Yatesville Falls.  Follow the dirt road about 1.3 miles to the end. The road ends in a parking area, and the falls are on the right. If you walk back down the road a little, you’ll see a VERY steep trail down to the waterfall. This is a difficult hike, as you are basically sliding down a hill.  There were children playing in the small pools above the falls.  This is a remote area, with no services.

This fall is also known as Buttermilk Falls.
