Hancock Campground
Look for the “White Mountain State Forest” sign for “Hancock Campground,” and park in the lot. Walk to site #47 and follow the small sign that says “River.” Follow the trail for about 2 min. to a small embankment with a very short, steep hop down to the river. There is a beautiful fall flowing into a large shallow pool. It looks like there is a small section that is deeper probably, 4 ft or so. Wonderful clear emerald water, and it is a pretty place to visit, but actual swimming would be limited. There is a small amount of sand beach, but it is mainly rocks. Self serve fee.
