Robert Moses Thousand Island State Park, St. Lawrence State Park
This park is a little confusing, but it isn’t hard to find your way. According to the map the swimming beach is actually located in St. Lawrence State Park, but it seems to be run by the nearby Robert Moses Thousand Island State Park. There is also another park in New York called Robert Moses State Park, which is on Long Island. The location on this page is on the Canadian border.
This is a beautiful park, with a nature center and viewing access to the Eisenhower Lock. The beach is on the river, and has a huge visitor center with new facilities. The sand beach is large with a medium sized swimming area. They have a nice playground, and lots of space to picnic. There are also boat rentals, and a marina.
We stayed at the campground and the spaces are really close together, but they have two different campgrounds, and cabin rentals as well. This is a sprawling park, and your campsite will likely be quite far from the beach.
