Lower Falls

This is a very popular rest stop swimming area, and it will likely be crowded, so it is a good idea to arrive early.  We were here at 1pm on a Monday and cars were lining the road.  There is a large parking area and a sign for “Lower Falls,” and we thought it was the most obvious lot that we encountered on the Kancamangus Highway, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding it.

The area features waterfall slides and a large green pool.  It is sort of a natural waterpark, and a lot of fun for kids.  There is also a gazebo overlooking the falls, and the facilities are very nice.  Dogs are allowed at the rest stop.
