Peach Orchard Point
We were told about this location by locals, and it is clearly a popular swimming hole, but we don’t know the status of this land. There is a very small grass area that people park in, but it is easy to miss, so drive slowly. From the parking area there is a well worn trail to the waterfall.
This area is absolutely gorgeous, and much more impressive than you suspect it will be as you follow the stream up to the fall. There are rocks lining one of the shale cliffs that people have written their names on, which is neat.
The lower fall is quite shallow, but the upper fall has a rope swing. Unfortunately, you have to climb up the lower fall to access it, and we couldn’t get our camera up there safely, so those ones are just taken with a camera phone. It is a really slippery climb, and not for everyone.
Please use caution and respect this area, and don’t leave trash or anything that might close access to this location.
