Ellis Falls

We’ve heard this is a popular swimming spot, however no one was there when we visited.  The dark water has multiple falls all pouring into a medium sized pool.  Since we didn’t swim here and only photographed it, we don’t know the depth of the water since you couldn’t see that deep into it.  The water was swift while we were there, though possibly it is slower at times.

The parking is just a narrow roadside pull off on 120, just before you see a bridge with metal guard rails going over the Ellis River. Then there is a narrow, steep, but well worn path down to the base of the falls. There were  no signs prohibiting access, though we aren’t sure who owns this land.
