Copper Rock Falls
There is a dirt pull off for parking, and a very small sign saying “Copper Rock Falls” at the beginning of the trailhead. The trail is on the right hand side if coming from the south. The path to the falls is only about a 10min hike, though it was really muddy with some high grass.
This is a very pretty fall with large copper colored rocks and a number of cascades. The river is split by a tiny island that also has tiny waterfalls running through it, really. You could maybe almost slide in some of the cascades though they end in a very turbulent turn and I’m not sure how safe that would be. There is a pool at the bottom that you could possibly swim in though the water is very black and who knows what is down there. This might be more of a “See” area, but worth the hike. The copper color is reminiscent of falls that you see more in the Western United States.
This falls is variously listed as being a long hike, we aren’t sure why. The trail does continue on so perhaps there is more here for hikers.
