Souhegan River Wilton

Our GPS is to the entrance of the trail that leads to the river, but there isn’t parking on the road here. Other sites say you can park at the school on School Road, and then follow the path between two baseball diamonds to get to the road that has the trailhead. We aren’t sure about this route though, and you will have to find parking where you can.
From the trailhead, follow the path for about 2 minutes, and you’ll see water through the trees. Just choose a trail heading towards it and you’ll find a deep pool at the base of a huge boulder that some kids were jumping from. The swimming area has black tannic water, and a small cascade flowing into it.
This area was hard to photograph for a number of reasons, so our pictures aren’t the best, but it is a very pretty area.
