Limington Rapids Rest Area
This park is off of Route 25 and you’ll see a wooden sign marked “Rest Area” just before the town line of Standish. It is more extensive than most rest areas, with picnic spots in the woods, and a wooden bridge leading to a rock “island” on the Saco River.
This is listed elsewhere as a place that people swim, but I personally thought the rapids looked dangerous. There is a tiny island downstream which people swimming around, and the water in that section was calm. This might be a location that you should ask a local which parts of the river are safe to enter. There are no signs prohibiting swimming, but exercise caution, particularly if water levels are high.
