Paradise
This one was on swimmingholes.org, and they named it “Paradise,”but we weren’t entirely sure we found the right area.
Park at the sign for the “Sawyer River Road” lot, which is beside route 302. Near the park trail map kiosk there is a trail; follow that for about 7 or 8 minutes to the river. Where the trail meets the river is the largest pool, which is about 6 ft deep, with lots of large rocks. Above and below are smaller pools. This is an idyllic little area with crystal clear water, and pretty views of mountains in the distance. On the other side of the river we saw people camping, though we aren’t sure if this is officially allowed.
